چکیده

Seaweed oligosaccharides have attracted attention in food, agricultural, and medical applications recently. Compared to red brown seaweeds, fewer studies focused on the biological activity of green seaweed’s oligosaccharides. This study aimed produce bioactive ulvan via enzymatic hydrolysis from seaweed Ulva lactuca. Ulvan, a water-soluble polysaccharide, was obtained by hot water extraction. Two isolated marine bacteria, Pseudomonas vesicularis MA103 Aeromonas salmonicida MAEF108, were used multiple hydrolases, such as ulvanolytic enzymes, amylase, cellulase, xylanase, degrade extract. An ultrafiltration system separate hydrolysate acquire (UOS). The characteristics extract UOS determined yield, reducing sugar, uronic acid, sulfate group, total phenols. FT-IR spectrum indicated that presented bands associated with O-H, C=O, C-O, S=O stretching. Angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) inhibition antioxidant activities vitro evaluated UOS. These results provide practical approach producing microbial can benefit development seaweed-based products at industrial scale.

Antioxidant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitory activities of northern shrimp (Pandalus borealis) by-products hydrolysate by enzymatic hydrolysis

In the present study, we investigated to the antioxidant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activities of the northern shrimp (Pandalus borealis) by-products (PBB) hydrolysates prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis. The antioxidant and ACE inhibitory activities of five enzymatic hydrolysates (alcalase, protamex, flavourzyme, papain, and trypsin) of PBB were evaluated by the 2, 2′-a...

Angiotensin I-Converting Enzyme Inhibitory Peptides of Chia (Salvia hispanica) Produced by Enzymatic Hydrolysis

Synthetic angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE-I) inhibitors can have undesirable side effects, while natural inhibitors have no side effects and are potential nutraceuticals. A protein-rich fraction from chia (Salvia hispanica L.) seed was hydrolyzed with an Alcalase-Flavourzyme sequential system and the hydrolysate ultrafiltered through four molecular weight cut-off membranes (1 kDa, 3 kDa, 5...

Hydrolysis of bradykinin by angiotensin-converting enzyme.

Two dipeptides, phenylalanylarginine (Phe-Arg) and serylproline (Ser-Pro), are released sequentially from bradykinin by angiotensin-converting enzyme purified from hog lungs; chloride increases the rate of release of both dipeptides. Using an automated ninhydrin-reagent method, we studied the kinetics of bradykinin hydrolysis. The reaction proceeded in the absence of chloride; however, the addi...

Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitory and Antioxidant Activities of Enzymatic Hydrolysates of Korean Native Cattle (Hanwoo) Myofibrillar Protein

The purpose of this study was to determine the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory and antioxidant activities of myofibrillar protein hydrolysates (HMPHs) of different molecular weights (<3 and <10 kDa) derived from Korean native cattle (Hanwoo breed) using a commercially available and inexpensive enzyme (Alkaline-AK). HMPH of both tested molecular weights had ACE inhibitory activity...

Hypotensive, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory and diuretic activities of the aqueous-methanol extract of Ipomoea reniformis

Ipomoea reniformis Roxb. (Convolvulaceae) is a small, weedy herb used for the management of cardiac problems in traditional systems of medicine in India and Pakistan. Objective of the present study is to investigate the hypotensive, diuretic and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activities of the aqueous-methanol (30:70) crude extract of the dried aerial parts of I. reniformis (Ir....
